For more than a decade, ReNew has been providing families and businesses of Boulder city and county with quality renovations and construction. ReNew’s collaborative approach results in construction of the highest quality and the fulfillment of your vision.
We believe it takes more than a builder to create a home in our complex environment. ReNew knows how to put together the right combination of professionals to suit each building project — from maximizing living space to incorporating a living design with the natural environment.
Boulder City and County recently passed new standards in both energy efficiency and green-building techniques that have changed building procedures and the fundamental requirements to remodel and build new structures. ReNew possesses extensive knowledge of the green-building process, deconstruction techniques, and recycling and reuse of existing materials. Two recent projects, Solar Village and Namasté Solar, reflect ReNew’s green-building expertise and passion for excellence.
Chris Grandinetti (Founder)
Chris Grandinetti founded ReNew Construction in 1999. A fourth-generation builder from Long Island, New York, Chris grew up surrounded by the building trades throughout his life, starting with his father as a general contractor specializing in concrete foundations.
Chris moved to Colorado to expand his studies in psychology and education. He taught special education in the Boulder Valley School system for seven years before returning to the building trades. Throughout his career as an educator and builder, Chris has enjoyed integrating his skills in listening, teaching, and problem solving into the building industry. Chris prides himself in securing mutual respect and rapport with his clients, colleagues, and partners. Clients appreciate his ability to find a balance between building their dreams and maintaining their budgets, all while delivering quality workmanship.
"The thing I enjoy the most about building is turning the challenges of engineering and construction into a wonderful living environment that lasts for generations. What really keeps me going day to day is the physical results of completing projects and my clients’ satisfaction with my work.
Mario Bolanos (The Expanding and Contracting Labor Force)
Mario Bolanos was born on the South Cost of Mexico near Acapulco and moved to the United States in 1988. He came to work for ReNew Construction 1997 from Labor Ready, an on call labor supplier. After working with ReNew for two days, not knowing much English, Chris realized how valuable having a good, honest and reliable worker was to ReNew Construction (even if the could understand each other!). The long road to Mario learning English and Chris learning a little Spanish and a lot of sign language began to unfold. Mario and Chris became fast friends and hard working partners on almost every job ReNew has completed to date.
Starting with little more than an understanding of basic construction and demolition, Mario Bolanos worked hard to create his own company, holding his own insurance policies and now runs a labor force company of his own for construction companies in Boulder/Longmont.
Today, Mario works with ReNew’s crew, Marc and Matt on a day to day basis both a carpenter and deconstruction manager; sorting recyclable and reusable materials and cleaning the jobsite to the standards ReNew is know for! He is truly an indispensible partner with ReNew Construction, Thank you Mario!
P.S….More clients ask if Mario is “available” to complete other projects around their new homes than any of ReNew’s subcontractors! Viva Mario Bolanos! (Rumor has it that Chris might be the god farther to Mario Jr.)
